The 'HerStories' project highlights the multifaceted Jewish history of the 20th century in Europe, through the biographies of seven Jewish women from Germany, Poland, Greece, Spain, Hungary, Slovakia and Czechia. As part of this project, Centropa is organizing a three day seminar and exchange program in Berlin on '20th Century Jewish-European History', 'Holocaust Education' and 'German-Israeli Relations'. The event will take place during Sukkot, the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles, from 30 September to 3 October and is open to applications from German, Polish and Israeli teachers.

The following seminar highlights await you:

- BarCamp and marketplace of ideas
- interactive tour through the Spandauer Vorstadt and the former Scheunenviertel in Berlin, following the footsteps of Rosa Rosenstein
- group work on topics such as migration, belonging and homeland with the Erna Goldmann Centropa interview
- presentation of the HerStories project and group work on how to relay women's experiences of persecution, deportation, escape, survival, resistance and rebuilding Jewish life after the Shoah with Centropa interviews
- guided tour of the Memorial to the Sinti and Roma Victims of National Socialism, the Memorial to Homosexuals persecuted under Nazism as well as the Memorial for the Murdered Jews of Europe and its information center
- Visit to the memorial and educational site of the House of the Wannsee Conference  
- Visit to the "Places of Remembrance" Memorial in the Bavarian Quarter in Schöneberg
- Exchange of knowledge and networking opportunities with colleagues from Germany, Poland and Israel
